Angles & Angels, six sculptures,
each 220x180x100cm, fabrics, threads, iron, Peripherie 8, Basel, 2024
Six sculptures consist of woven home textiles, such as cloths, curtains or upholstery covers. These are stretched into metal frames, creating new walls, corners and niches in the densely packed space. The placement of the sculptures creates new paths and the narrowness of the space encourages people to move around in order to take in the sculptures from all sides. Like a movement notation, they provide step patterns. But it is only by walking along these paths that they come to life.
